Q: How often should I change my air filter?
A: At least every change of season (winter/summer), and more often if needed.
Q: What does carbon monoxide smell like?
A: Carbon monoxide is tasteless and odorless.
Q: Do you install gas fireplaces?
A: Yes, we are a Lennox Hearth dealer and both sell and install their products (and the
occasional corn stove).
Q: If I 'go' geothermal will I still have an air conditioner?
A: No, there is not an outside unit with most geothermal systems.
Q: How deep do the wells need to be for geothermal?
A: They are not wells, as we are not pumping anything (water) out of the ground. We refer to

antifreeze and they are usually 185' deep.

A: It typically costs twice as much as conventional heating and cooling.
Q: Do air source heat pumps work this far north?
A: Yes, they can and do. We have several customers that are currently very happy with their heat
pumps, they typically have cooler outlet temperatures but once they become accustomed to that
they find they operate very efficiently.
Q: Will geothermal operate with floor heat?
A; Yes, geothermal is a very good fit for in floor radiant tube applications.
